M. Frederick Hawthorne Award in Main Group Inorganic Chemistry
The ACS Board of Directors has approved a new award, the M. Frederick Hawthorne Award in Main Group Inorganic Chemistry, which recognizes researchers who have made significant contributions to chemistry involving the elements of groups 1, 2, and 13–18 in the periodic table.
Honorees will receiving a $5,000 cash award and up to $1,500 for travel expenses to the ACS national meeting at which the award will be presented and at which the recipient will deliver an award address.
The Hawthorne award was introduced in 2019 and winners are yet to be announced.
