Call for Nominations for the 2014 Organometallics Young Investigator and Senior Investigator Fellowships

The Editor-in-Chief of Organometallics, the Division of Inorganic Chemistry of the American Chemical Society, and the Division of Organic Chemistry of the American Chemical Society are seeking nominations for the OrganometallicsYoung Investigator and Senior Investigator Fellowships. The objective is to honor individuals who have had a major impact on scientific research in organometallic chemistry.

Two Senior Investigator Fellowships will be awarded; one for research related to the organic side of organometallic chemistry and another on the inorganic side. Eight Young Investigator Fellowships will be awarded; four for research related to the organic side of organometallic chemistry and four for research on the inorganic side.

Each Senior Investigator will receive:

  • An award plaque
  • $1000 USD
  • Travel grant to attend the 2014 Fall ACS National Meeting

Each Young Investigator will receive:

  • An award plaque
  • Travel grant to attend the 2014 Fall ACS National Meeting

Nomination Requirements:

  • A paragraph that briefly summaries qualifications and special achievements of nominee, not to exceed one page in length.
  • For the Young Investigator Fellowships, a list of the nominee’s publications as an independent investigator
  • Self-nominations or nominations of articles authored by the Editors of the journal will not be accepted.
  • Co-authors are eligible to submit nominations.
  • Senior Investigator candidates should be willing to author a review or personal account of their research for Organometallics.
  • Young Investigators must have published their first papers as corresponding authors in Organometallics after January 1, 2009.

The winners will be announced in early 2014 and the awards will be presented at the fall ACS National Meeting, August 10-14, 2014 at a symposium featuring the awardees.
